An open letter to my teenage sister

My dear darling, it may feel like you have so much pressure from mum, dad and especially me but that’s because we love you so much. Maybe more than we should. I remember been a teenager like it was yesterday, so young, full of life, daring yet so fearful of the future. I remember all my dreams. I remember how I wanted to be a doctor, then a lawyer, then a designer, then a writer all in a year. I was a dreamer, I still am. Dream and work towards your dreams. Don’t sleep on your talents.

I understand that we don’t talk as often as we should and you might not like me or my opinions but I try so hard. I understand you sometimes shut me out but I understand, I was there too and I forgive you. At the end of the day after all that’s said and done you are one of the most important people in

I want you to remember a few things in life. When you feel unworthy , take a step back and breath. Remember you are a woman of substance and you are worth much more than you can imagine. When your heart is shattered and you feel like nobody cares about you, remember am only a phone call away and I will always love you no matter what. Sisters stick together no matter what..

With love, Nelly
